What does it cost?
Nothing. Joining the group, browsing events and everything else on this site is 100% free for UCSD students. There's no trial, no upgrade and no hidden fee.
Do you ask for a credit card or personal info?
No card, ever. To join the GroupMe you sign in with your @ucsd.edu Google account so we know you're a student. We only see your UCSD email address. Browsing events needs no account at all.
Who runs this?
Students. Active San Diego is an independent, student-run community. It is not an official UC San Diego program and UCSD does not sponsor it.
Why do I have to sign in to join?
The group is for UCSD students, and a UCSD Google sign-in is the quickest way to check. You stay signed in on your device, so you only do it once. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Can anyone look at the events?
Yes, the events list is public. The community is built for UCSD students.
